Corey, Philip, and Casey - 6:00 AM, on the way up the mountain

With ice axes and Casey's backpack full of supplies, we felt ready for the trip

Looking back down as we continued up the mountain

The one time we saw the sun break through the clouds was about 6:30 AM - beautiful!

Looking up at the snow, trying to decide our path

As we got higher, we got of the main trail onto snow fields. Could often not see very far in front of us.

On the way down was much easier, sliding on the snow rather than using cramp-ons hiking up.

The view was fantastic and I was relieved to be heading down

Unfortunately, another group came unprepared for the weather and snow. A serious injury turned out OK, but Search and Rescue had to come get this young lady.

No helicopter could make it up through this weather, so they had to hike in and carry her out. She had no ice axe, so slide into some rocks.
